INTER FAITH WEEK

10-17 November 2024

Inter Faith Week 2023 drew to a close on Sunday 19 November. Thank you to everyone who took part!

Inter Faith Network closure and the future of Inter Faith Week

Sadly, the Inter Faith Network for the UK, which has led Inter Faith Week since 2009, closed its office on 30 April 2024 for the reasons set out in this press release. Staff are working remotely for a very short period on some administrative matters relating to closure. IFN’s Trustees will then be taking over remaining processes for strike off.

However, we are pleased to say that this year a number of IFN’s member bodies will be working together to take Inter Faith Week forward. The website will be updated to reflect this in due course. If you would like to be kept in touch with plans for the Week, you can send your details to the Faith & Belief Forum using this link. The Faith & Belief Forum is the body which will be responsible for holding and processing your data. Its Privacy Policy can be seen here.

  • THE REVD CANON HILARY BARBER AND NARENDRA WAGHELA, CO-CHAIRS OF THE INTER FAITH NETWORK FOR THE UK, WHICH LEADS ON THE WEEK, SAID:

“Inter Faith Week has become an increasingly important fixture in the public calendar. Across the last week, hundreds of activities have taken place which have helped to highlight and encourage understanding about different faiths and beliefs; strengthen good inter faith relations and social cooperation for the common good.

With concern about tensions and a rise in antisemitic and anti-Muslim hate incidents in the UK, very welcome was the conversation of HM The King with faith leaders and community representatives at an Inter Faith Week reception for him hosted by the Archbishop of Canterbury. A number of those who held activities to mark the Week have commented on the particular importance of coming together at this time.”
